Sine FM

sine fm, Doncaster’s first FM licensed community radio station, was launched in January 2007. We held RSL broadcasts in June 2007 and were awarded a full FM community broadcasting license by OFCOM in December 2007.

sine fm was created to provide a platform for creative expression and… a distinctive, participatory and accessible community radio service to celebrate the diversity of Doncaster’s inner town wards. We also deliver worldwide internet broadcasts, a pod-cast service for community events, community media training opportunities for local people; and are always keen to develop partnership projects and positive business relationships.

here’s an outline of our key focuses:
not for profit > for, about & by the community > amateur presenters > local music > non-english shows > fresh features > enterprise > young people > training opportunities> webcasts > podcasts > spoken word > events >>>

music includes:
indie > pop > rock > roots > new > old > electronic > jazz > underground > soul > funk > punk > blues > urban > classical > unsigned > world music > out of this world music >>> so if you cant hear it elsewhere, come to sine fm !

Here at Destroy before Reading are very excited to be building a library of live sessions of local (and not so local) bands. Often in association with Higher Rhythm Studios, the sessions are a unique snapshot of bands in session, playing live.
