The deadline for band application deadline for SXSW 2012 Yorkshire Showcase is November 5th 2011
As many of you know Music Yorkshire have been building the Yorkshire @ SXSW project for 5 years now. Initially with CDs, advice, support and then from 2009 onwards establishing the successful Yorkshire Showcase at the British Music Embassy venue.
A few weeks back, the briefing event was held in Leeds with UKT&I, SXSW, MIDEM and Great Escape reps was rammed with 200 delegates. Rest assured Music Yorkshire are hard at it trying to ensure there is enough support and funding in place for 2012. Check their website regularly to see how they are getting on.
In the meantime Yorkshire bands need to apply for an official SXSW Showcase – Deadline 4th November.
